Heather Lynn Matuszek, born on April 2, 1987, in Providence, Rhode Island, is an Executive Assistant in the Construction and Design industry currently residing in Florida. Her journey from the northeastern United States to the Sunshine State is marked by significant personal and professional milestones that have shaped her into the individual she is today.
Formative Years and Academic Foundations
Heather Matuszek moved to Stuart, Florida, in 1996, where she grew up alongside her younger and older sister. Her childhood was filled with a passion for sports, playing ice hockey and baseball and participating in various athletic activities during middle and high school. Heather attended Martin County High School, where she was a versatile athlete, engaging in softball, powderpuff flag football, and rowing. She also demonstrated leadership qualities early on, serving as the class vice president for two years.
Scholarly Achievements and Collegiate Experience
After graduating from Martin County High School in 2005, Heather attended Mercer University, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Leadership and Service. During her time at Mercer, she was a leader in the Baptist Collegiate Ministries, participated in intramural sports, and was actively involved in community service. Heather’s academic prowess led her to co-author a research publication in the Journal of Morphology, which remains one of her proudest achievements. Simultaneously, just a few months before graduation from Mercer, Heather’s older sister tragically passed away in a car accident.
Beginnings in the Workforce
Following her graduation, Heather moved back home to be close to her family after the loss of her sister. During this period, she worked as a substitute teacher in the local school system, coached at the high school level, and served in several local ministries.
Heather’s professional journey began with an opportunity to serve as a leader in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), where she worked from 2010 to 2013. She quickly advanced to managerial positions, driven by her passion for leadership, systems, processes, and service. She simultaneously coached high school softball at Jensen Beach High School, furthering her engagement with youth and sports.
Growth in the Workplace
In 2013, Heather relocated to Largo, Florida, to take on the role of the Director of Operations at a QSR. This move marked the beginning of her ascent in the corporate world. In 2014, she was selected for the Interim Manager program with the company, which involved traveling across the United States to open and manage corporately owned restaurants. Her exceptional performance led to her selection as the Owner/Operator of a QSR in Clearwater, Florida, in 2016. Heather successfully operated this business until 2021, when she chose to explore new ventures.
Transition to Property Renovation and Consulting
Heather’s entrepreneurial spirit led her and her partner to enter the property investment industry. They established a cabinet company specializing in cabinet design and Feather Lane Consulting LLC, offering restaurant business consulting and property management services. Heather’s expertise in real estate investment and renovations further showcases her diverse skill set and commitment to excellence in every endeavor.

As an Executive Assistant and Project Manager, she leverages her experience in leadership and operations to support and manage various aspects of construction and design projects. Her role involves coordinating efforts among teams, ensuring that projects run smoothly, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Off-Duty Life and Recreational Interests
Heather Matuszek is currently engaged to her eight-year partner. Together, they share a love for travel and have explored countries such as France, Switzerland, and Ireland. Heather enjoys seeing the sights across the U.S. and abroad, as well as the opportunity to learn about different places, cultures, and countries. She is also an avid surfer, enjoys playing guitar at open mic nights, and frequently attends live music events in the Tampa area. In addition, Heather has a keen interest in property fixer-upper investment opportunities, often undertaking renovation work herself.
Heather loves spending quality time with her three dogs, often taking them on walks and adventures. Another favorite pastime is taking their boat out on the Gulf, where she enjoys the thrill of exploring new spots.
Passion for Community and Service Work
Heather’s dedication to service extends beyond her professional and personal interests. Since 2010, she has sponsored a child in need through World Vision. Her volunteer efforts have included multiple trips to Haiti with Missionary Flights International to build homes after the 2010 earthquake and disaster relief missions to Mississippi with Mercer University’s Baptist Collegiate Ministry.
